Himachal Pradesh government would start registration for the ambitious healthcare scheme, HIMCARE from 1 January 2020.State Health minister Vipin Parmar informed Vidhan Sabha about the decision on Tuesday and said the new registration would be held from 1 January to 31 March 2020.Under the scheme, the state government provides free treatment upto Rs 5 lakh to the beneficiaries. Parmar told HP Vidhan Sabha that 6.42 lakh persons are registered under the HIMCARE scheme in the state so far and the scheme is being extended from January 2020 owing growing demand from the general public.
